Cell Phones and Privacy

Prepaid cell phones have lots of benefits and are mostly popular with teenagers. Prepaid phones are good for the people that cannot afford the monthly cell phone bill and can decide how little, or how much they want to pay depending on the data and minuets they desire. There are also no contracts with a prepaid phone, so people who loose, or break their phone may buy a prepaid cell phone to hold them over until they can afford or get the upgrade for a newer one. Prepaid cell phones may be a good option for criminals but I don't believe that everyone should be banned from a prepaid phone option just because there are some bad people in the world. An option would be putting the prepaid phone to some sort of record so it could be tracked if there is an issue, and lower crime problems.

Location Tracking

The idea of placing a tracking system into humans is scary. What's even scarier is knowing our world has come to this idea, that we are so unsafe that this is necessary. Although kidnapping is a huge issue in today's world, so is getting the tracking chips hacked. There are too many instances of systems getting hacked that this would just be another, except this is putting someone's life on the line. Another risk to the chips is health risks, how healthy is it to have a computer chip inside your body? Clearly the risks outweigh the benefits in this case. If parents really truly believe that they need to track their child's every move they should reconsider their parenting techniques and maybe they aren't doing such a good job if they don't know where there child is everyday, so I don't believe that parents have that right. Having a tracking device in a teenager is an even scarier idea, for teenagers should be aware of where they are and what is a safe environment. Teenagers are also at the age of being a rebel and if they know their parents are tracking them, they will rebel. If there was a bill in Congress to require the chips in children under the age of five I would disagree with it. I would disagree because this could be a potential health risk and parents should already know where their children are when they are that young. The only support I would give to the tracking chip is for senior citizens who have alzheimer's disease, because they can get lost easily, or try to escape from home or the hospital. If the senior citizens know that the chip is implanted within them it could also be scary. I am against having tracking devices in humans, and the only part I support is for ill senior citizens.
